Who You Are
As a Senior Business Analyst (DIRTT Product), you will be responsible for ensuring that the discovery and documentation needed to add DIRTT products to the software catalog is completed and available to the development team. You will work closely with key stakeholders and the development team to document DIRTT Product behavior, requirements, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria for DIRTT Design Editor. You will also support the development team in validating completed work to ensure that catalog content meets the documented DIRTT Product specifications.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with the Product Management, Order Engineering, Software Engineering and Manufacturing teams to gain a deep understanding of our DIRTT products, including their components, dimensions, materials, configuration rules, and constraints.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand how each DIRTT product is intended to be designed, specified, and used.
- Define, document, and maintain the software requirements and DIRTT Product specifications needed to add products to the DIRTT Design Editor Catalog, including configuration logic, acceptance criteria, and edge cases.
- Define requirements with the focus of manufacturability in mind, ensuring DIRTT products can be intuitively configured, designed, specified, and visualized in DIRTT Design Editor.
- Conduct thorough review and quality assurance to ensure catalog content functions correctly and meets the documented DIRTT Product specifications.
- Provide clear specifications and documentation to the software development team so that catalog content can be built accurately and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any requirements- or specification-related issues that arise during catalog development.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our requirements and catalog onboarding processes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all DIRTT Product specifications, catalog requirements, and related decisions.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, requirements analyst, or in a similar role.
- Strong requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation skills, including writing clear specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences.
- A user-centered approach and the ability to consider how requirements affect the end-user experience.
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to resolve requirements and specification challenges.
- Comfort working with structured data, logic, rules, and dependencies, with the ability to reason through complex configuration scenarios and edge cases.
- Experience working collaboratively with software development teams using Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with DIRTT Product design and engineering is an asset.
- Familiarity with CPQ or product configurator software is a plus.
- Proficiency with SQL or data analysis is a plus.
- Business analysis certification (CBAP, CCBA) or Agile certifications are a plus.
