Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport gravel, asphalt & dirt across various routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to ensure timely deliveries and maintain excellent customer service.
Duties
- Safely operate trucks for the transportation of gravel, asphalt & dirt with the use of End-Dumps and Side-Dumps to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, driver logs, and other required documentation.
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
- Follow all federal, state, and company safety regulations during operations.
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when required, ensuring proper use and safety procedures are followed.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving & gravel hauling will be preferred.
- Proficiency in heavy equipment handling is a plus.
- Knowledge of automotive repair or troubleshooting skills is advantageous.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation requirements.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
- Physical ability to operate heavy equipment, and perform vehicle inspections as needed.
