Director of Counselling, Outreach, and Education
Lethbridge Family Services (LFS) is seeking a director for our Counselling, Outreach and Education department! This senior-level role’s purpose is to represent Counselling, Outreach & Education on the Lethbridge Family Services leadership team while ensuring that services provided meet all accreditation standards, contractual obligations, and organization policies and procedures. You will also represent the program and organization in the community in a strategic manner.

The Counselling, Outreach, and Education director:
- ensures that quality services are delivered while operating within the approved budget,
- fosters a culture of continual improvement using data to identify areas of growth,
- demonstrates competence and sensitivity to personal diversity, including a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds,
- provides supervision to the outreach and education supervisor, clinical manager, and administrative team,
- acts as chief liaison with all department funders, fulfilling contract management and reporting requirements,
- assumes a leadership role in marketing and advocacy activities for the department, and
- works collaboratively and effectively as a member of the senior leadership team – contributing to the strategic direction of the organization.
Required skills and qualifications:
- a master’s degree in social work, psychology, health services management, or other relevant discipline,
- at least five years of experience at the management level,
- demonstrated expertise in providing clinical supervision,
- awareness of LGBTQ2Si+, Indigenous, cultural, and seniors needs are highly valued, and
- a creative, collaborative individual who wants to work in an environment of growth, learning, and flexibility.
All new employees must provide a police information check and vulnerable sector check dated not less than 90 days prior to the date of hire.
Hours: Regular Full-Time – Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm
