Duties
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately using POS systems, and process payments efficiently with cash handling skills.
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring freshness and quality at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, adhering to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales, demonstrating product knowledge confidently.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high standards of food quality.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, rotating supplies, and notifying management of shortages or expired items.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations, supporting each other in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; familiarity with the food industry is a plus.
- Demonstrated skills in cashiering, including proficiency with POS systems, basic math for transactions, and cash handling accuracy.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills to engage positively with guests.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Kitchen experience or previous roles involving food handling are desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
