Position Summary:
The Clinical Instructor is responsible for overseeing PSW student placements and acting as the primary liaison between the college and placement sites. This role ensures students meet program requirements and that placements run smoothly in accordance with college policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and monitor PSW student placements.
- Conduct site visits (in person or virtual) as required to evaluate student performance and learning outcomes.
- Follow up with placement sites on behalf of the college regarding student progress, attendance, and performance.
- Support and supervise students during their clinical placements.
- Ensure completion of required placement documentation and hours.
- Address placement-related concerns in collaboration with college staff.
- Follow up regularly with placement supervisors/preceptors regarding student progress, attendance, and performance.
- Address placement-related concerns or issues raised by the site in collaboration with the college administration.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 4 years of clinical experience.
- Experience supervising students or staff in a clinical setting is an asset.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of PSW scope of practice and clinical placement
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
