We are hiring a Full-Time Maintenance Journeyman to work out of our Sherwood Park location. Shift times are 5:30am-2:00pm and 2:00pm-10:30pm.

WOW! Factor Desserts is a dynamic, forward-thinking food innovation company specializing in Cake, Cheesecake, Specialty and Seasonal baked desserts. This position provides maintenance support for a variety of machines and tools within our manufacturing centre.
Key Responsibilities
· Install, assemble, align, and commission new industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
· Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
· Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems to identify equipment failures.
· Repair or replace defective components, including bearings, belts, chains, shafts, seals, pumps, gearboxes, motors, and couplings.
· Dismantle, inspect, rebuild, and reassemble machinery according to manufacturer specifications.
· Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
· Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, laser alignment tools, and calipers to ensure proper equipment alignment and tolerances.
· Perform equipment alignments, balancing, leveling, and calibration.
· Weld, cut, grind, and fabricate components as required for equipment repairs and modifications.
· Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
· Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects to increase reliability and productivity.
· Participate in equipment installations during plant expansions or production line changes.
· Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
· Conduct inspections to identify wear, potential failures, and safety concerns.
· Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection documentation.
· Ensure spare parts and maintenance materials are properly identified and utilized.
· Collaborate with production, engineering, electricians, and other maintenance personnel to resolve equipment issues.
· Follow preventative maintenance schedules and recommend improvements where appropriate.
· Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, and other material handling equipment as authorized.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with housekeeping standards.
· Comply with all occupational health and safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, working at heights, and other safe work procedures.
· Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Participate in safety meetings, training, and incident investigations as required.
· Support emergency maintenance activities during scheduled and unscheduled shutdowns.
· Preventative maintenance and scheduling.
· Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
· Journeyman (Millwright, Electrical, Etc)
· Previous experience in maintenance required.
· Experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting is an asset.
· Electro-mechanical background would be an asset
Pay: $28.10-$32.00 per hour
