Grassroots K9 is one of Canada's leading professional dog training companies, helping families and working dog handlers build better relationships with their dogs through structured, results-driven training. Our Georgina location serves as the headquarters for our GTA operations and provides private lessons, Board & Train programs, boarding, daycare, and group classes.
We're looking for an energetic, dependable, and motivated Kennel Technician to join our growing team. This is more than just a kennel job—you'll play an important role in ensuring every dog in our care receives exceptional attention while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility.

Responsibilities
- Feed, water, and care for dogs according to individualized schedules
- Clean and sanitize kennels, crates, indoor and outdoor play areas
- Walk, exercise, and safely handle dogs of all breeds and sizes
- Monitor dogs for health or behavioral concerns and report any changes
- Administer medications when required (training provided)
- Assist trainers with handling and moving dogs throughout the facility
- Complete daily cleaning tasks including laundry, dishes, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the facility
- Ensure every dog receives exceptional care and attention during their stay
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Reliable transportation
- Comfortable working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
- Able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Weekend and holiday availability is required
- Previous experience working with animals is considered an asset but is not required

Schedule
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts required

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
