Pay Rate: $22.50/hr (+ Shift Premium on Midnights)
Shift: Straight Days or Straight Nights
We are currently seeking an experienced Stainless Steel Welder II to join our client's manufacturing team. This position is ideal for a skilled welder who takes pride in producing high-quality work, can read blueprints, and enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will work both independently and collaboratively to fabricate and weld stainless and mild steel components while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.
- Read and interpret work orders, engineering drawings, and blueprints
- Perform MIG welding on stainless steel and mild steel components with precision and accuracy
- Set up welding equipment, fixtures, and jigs for various welding applications
- Fabricate small components using equipment such as ironworkers, drills, and saws
- Perform basic equipment setups while following all safety procedures
- Operate and make adjustments to collaborative welding robots (CoBots) as required
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality standards
- Identify opportunities to improve welding processes and production efficiency
- Maintain productivity while ensuring high-quality workmanship
- Work independently while collaborating effectively with team members when required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 1–2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience performing MIG welding (CWB certification not required)
- Ability to successfully complete an internal weld test
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with the assistance of lifting equipment
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices is considered an asset
