Role and Responsibilities:
We are currently looking to fill the term role of Credit Risk Support Officer. Reporting to the Manager Credit Risk, this position provides essential administrative and operational support to the Credit Risk team at Prosperity Credit Union. The Credit Risk Support Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of credit-related documentation, supporting risk mitigation activities, and contributing to overall service excellence. Success in the role requires exceptional attention to detail, effective time management, and strong collaboration across teams. This position is eligible to work from any Prosperity Credit Union service location.

Support Credit Documentation and Transaction Management:
Prepare and process loan amendments, impaired loans, write-offs, and collection activities while ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Post financial transactions accurately and maintain complete, up-to-date records. Manage organized filing and document management systems to support efficient retrieval, audit readiness, and confidentiality standards.
Monitor Credit Activity and Risk Exposure:
Track and report on unauthorized overdrafts, third-party demands, loan payment activities, CAFT processing, NSF returns, and payment monitoring to ensure timely and accurate handling. Assist in identifying potential risk exposures and escalate concerns to appropriate team members. Compile data and prepare periodic reports and summaries to support management review and informed decision-making.
Foster Collaboration and Operational Excellence:
Provide timely administrative and operational support to the Credit Risk team and other internal stakeholders. Coordinate with third-party partners and service providers to facilitate credit and collection processes. Participate in team meetings, contribute insights, and support continuous process improvement. Collaborate with departments across the organization to ensure alignment of processes and consistent member experience.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education or related certifications considered an asset.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy.
- A willingness to learn and grow within the role and the organization.
