Overview
Join our dynamic logistics team as a Dispatcher, where you'll be the vital link ensuring seamless coordination of transportation, warehouse operations, and supply chain activities. This energetic role offers the opportunity to optimize delivery schedules, manage freight and shipping processes, and support procurement and materials management efforts. Duties
- Coordinate and schedule shipments, deliveries, pickups, and order fulfillment activities across multiple channels including e-commerce and traditional distribution.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems, and warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 to track freight movements, shipping & receiving, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to support sourcing initiatives, pricing strategies, and demand planning to ensure optimal materials availability.
- Manage 3PL providers and freight carriers to ensure timely delivery while maintaining cost-effective transportation solutions.
- Oversee warehouse distribution activities including order picking, packaging, materials management, and warehouse experience to meet customer expectations.
- Analyze data related to supply chain performance, process improvement opportunities, and process efficiencies using data analysis skills to recommend actionable solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping schedules, inbound/outbound logs, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) entries, and other logistics documentation.
Skills
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and supply chain fundamentals.
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms; experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is essential.
- Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), freight coordination, shipping & receiving procedures.
- Experience in procurement, sourcing, pricing strategies, demand planning, and materials management.
- Data analysis skills to interpret logistics metrics and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Familiarity with 3PL providers, freight operations, e-commerce logistics, packaging standards, and order fulfillment workflows.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is preferred.
