Are you great with kids, reliable, and interested in coding, games, robotics, or STEM?
Code Ninjas St. Albert is looking for a part-time Coding Instructor to help kids ages 7 - 14 learn coding through game building, problem-solving, and hands-on STEM activities.
You do not need to be an expert programmer, but you should be comfortable with coding, helping kids stay focused, and explaining concepts in a clear and encouraging way.
This is a great fit for someone studying computer science, education, engineering, game design, or a related program.
What You’ll Do
- Help students work through coding projects
- Support kids with debugging and problem-solving
- Encourage students and celebrate their progress
- Help maintain a fun, safe, and focused learning environment
- Assist with basic centre cleanup and setup during downtime
- Follow lesson plans and curriculum provided by the Code Ninjas education team
We’re Looking For Someone Who Is
- Reliable and consistent
- Great with kids ages 7 - 14
- Patient, positive, and encouraging
- Comfortable with technology and willing to learn
- Able to communicate clearly with students and team members
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Experience That Helps
- Block coding, JavaScript, Unity, C#, Godot, Roblox Studio, Minecraft, robotics, or game design
- Experience working with children, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or camp leadership
- Post-secondary studies in computer science, education, engineering, or a related field
Schedule
This is a part-time position with shifts available during our current open hours:
- Tuesday - Friday: 3:45 PM to 7:15 PM
- Saturdays: 9:45 AM to 1:15 PM
We are looking for someone with reliable, consistent availability during some of these hours. Additional shifts may be available for camps, events, birthdays, and school break programs.

- A Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check is required for successful applicants
