Personal Injury Law Clerk
We are seeking an experienced, organized and technology-focused Personal Injury Law Clerk to support a growing personal injury practice handling matters across Canada.
The successful candidate will understand the progression of a personal injury file, take ownership of deadlines and follow-ups, and help move files efficiently from intake through settlement or litigation. Personal injury experience is important.
Responsibilities
- Manage and organize personal injury files under lawyer supervision
- Conduct client intake and gather medical, employment, insurance and income-loss documentation
- Monitor limitation periods, litigation deadlines, undertakings and follow-up dates
- Request and organize medical records, clinical notes and supporting evidence
- Communicate with clients, insurers, medical providers, experts and opposing counsel
- Prepare correspondence, chronologies, damage summaries, document briefs and draft legal documents
- Assist with pleadings, affidavits of documents, discoveries, mediations and settlement materials
- Coordinate appointments, assessments, examinations and court filings
- Maintain detailed file notes and provide regular status updates
- Help improve precedents, procedures and file-management systems
- Use approved artificial intelligence and automation tools responsibly to support drafting, document review and administrative workflows
Qualifications
- Previous personal injury law experience is required
- Law clerk, paralegal or legal assistant diploma is preferred
- At least two years of relevant experience is preferred
- Strong understanding of personal injury litigation, medical documentation and damages
- Experience with matters in multiple Canadian provinces is an asset
- Excellent organization, communication and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
- Strong judgment and commitment to client confidentiality
- Comfortable with Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat, electronic filing and case-management software
- Tech savvy and willing to learn and responsibly incorporate artificial intelligence into legal workflows
- Professional and compassionate when working with injured clients
Work Arrangement
This position will be primarily in person during the initial training and onboarding period. A hybrid arrangement may become available once the successful candidate is fully trained and able to work independently, subject to the firm’s schedule and operational requirements.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
