Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Sprinkler Fitter to ensure the safety and compliance of Fire Protection Systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform Hydro Static Testing/Fire Pump Testing/Annual Inspections and Repair/Small Service Installations. The candidate must also have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. They will also ensure accuracy and thoroughness and have the ability to problem solve and take initiative. As a Fitter, you will be responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of Fire Sprinkler Systems, ensuring compliance with fire codes and industry standards. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Duties
- Perform Hydro Static/Fire Pump Testing
- Annual Inspections and Repair/Small service Installation and have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project specifications.
- Installation of sprinkler systems (pipe installation, installing sprinkler heads and control systems)
- Installation of Blaze-Master Piping and Fitting
- Documents all job duties completed daily using online platform (Jobber)
- Ensure work vehicle is stocked with all parts and tools needed for job completion
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, performing basic repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide solutions to improve system performance.
- Communicates with the office in a timely and effective manner.
- Working service calls after regular work hours scheduled in rotation is mandatory.
Qualifications
- Registered/Licensed with the Collage of Trades
- Extensive knowledge in Sprinkler System Operations and System Equipment
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong command of the English Language both written and verbal
