Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Restaurant Host/Hostess to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage wait times efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus promptly
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize restaurant flow
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, utilizing proper phone etiquette
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand and waiting area
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers regarding guest needs and special requests
- Handle guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism, escalating issues when necessary
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for reservations or takeout orders when required
- Assist with other front-of-house duties to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Experience
- Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with food service operations and restaurant procedures is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is a plus
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and professional communication standards
- Experience in hotel or hospitality environments can be beneficial but is not mandatory
