BMP is currently looking for a 4th year or JOURNEYMEN SERVICE PLUMBER to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities
- Installation: Install and assemble pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures for water, waste, and gas systems, reading blueprints and making necessary cuts or holes in walls and floors.
- Repair: Diagnose and repair damaged pipes, leaking fixtures, and malfunctioning plumbing systems using various tools and techniques.
- Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on plumbing equipment and systems, including testing and servicing existing equipment.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers to diagnose issues, explain solutions, provide cost estimates, and resolve concerns professionally.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to local and national plumbing codes.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Technical Skills: Ability to measure, cut, bend, and thread pipes; join pipes using various materials; and test systems using pressure gauges.
- Diagnostic Skills: Ability to diagnose problems in complex mechanical and plumbing systems.
- Reading Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Tools and Equipment: Proficiency with standard plumber's tools, including hand and power tools, pipe threaders, snakes, augers, and pressure gauges.
- Problem-Solving: Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve plumbing issues effectively.
- Communication: Good communication skills for interacting with clients and resolving concerns.
Common Duties
- Reading blueprints to understand the layout of plumbing systems.
- Locating and marking positions for pipe connections.
- Cutting openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes.
- Measuring, cutting, bending, and threading pipes.
- Joining pipes using various methods like couplings, soldering, and welding.
- Testing for leaks with air and water pressure gauges.
- Providing recommendations for system design and repairs.
- Preparing maintenance schedules and completing work orders.
- Maintaining a professional image and following safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be Journeymen Plumber/ (Red Seal) or 4th year plumber
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of applicable Plumbing codes, standards, and regulations
- Own hand tools
- Ability to in an on call rotation
- Boiler experience/A ticket is and Asset but not necessary.
