Job Title: Data Science Analyst
Reporting to: Head of Information Technology Department
Employment Type: 6-Month Contract/12-Month Contract/Full Time Permanent
Location: Richmond Hill, Ontario
Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Develop program using Python, Oracle Procedure, Java and other tools for analytical data mining, software development, or business reporting.
- Responsible for project co-ordination related to the development and management of all project-related development, participate and manage in the design, specifications, coding, testing and implementation of bank’s application program and business reporting.
- Lead and facilitate sessions with business units to gather requirements, refine and document use cases, business rules, scenarios, and data, as well as functional systems requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
- Investigate and resolve application-related problems.
- Provide second-level support for the bank’s application system, including after-hour support as required.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Data Science related fields;
- Be familiar with Python, SQL, BI report tools and Java;
- Good working knowledge of project management ;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Able to communicate and writing skills in English and Mandarin or Cantonese;
- Ability to set priorities and work efficiently under pressure of high volume;
- Must be an independent problem solver with troubleshooting, decision making and analytical skills.
