We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking Front of House Staff (Server & Kitchen Support) to join our Indian restaurant team. This role is primarily focused on providing excellent customer service by taking in-store and phone/online orders, serving customers, and packing takeout orders. When needed, you will also assist the kitchen with general support duties to help ensure smooth daily operations.
Weekday availability is required.
Primary Responsibilities (Front of House)
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take in-store, phone, and online orders accurately
- Pack takeout and delivery orders with attention to detail
- Process payments using the POS system
- Maintain a clean and organized front counter and dining area
- Answer customer questions and provide excellent service
- Restock beverages, condiments, and packaging supplies as needed
Kitchen Support Duties (As Needed)
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans
- Keep the dishwashing area clean and organized
- Assist with basic food preparation when required
- Help maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods
- Learn to operate the tandoor (if interested and training is provided)
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
- Take out garbage and recycling when needed
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience is an asset but not required—we are happy to train the right candidate
- Friendly, positive attitude with excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a strong work ethic
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Weekday availability is required
