Job Summary
We are seeking a full time dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a welcoming and efficient dental environment. Duties
- Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Provide oral health education and personalized advice to patients on proper brushing, flossing, and overall dental care
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including preparing instruments and materials
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix
- Manage patient scheduling, answer questions, and ensure a positive patient experience
- Support pediatric patients with gentle care and effective communication
- Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures is advantageous
- Familiarity with abeldent or similar dental management software is a plus
- Experience working with pediatric patients is desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively using medical terminology in a professional manner
