Position Overview:
As a Purchaser, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring products from manufacturers. You will work closely with suppliers, negotiate pricing, ensure timely delivery, and manage inventory levels to meet business demands. The ideal candidate will have experience in purchasing, knowledge of electrical products, strong communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source products from manufacturers, maintaining strong supplier relationships
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment of stock.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to understand product demand and ensure supply chain efficiency.
- Manage the annual manufacturer returns
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements
- Stay up to date with industry trends and new product offerings
- Resolve any issues related to delays, shortages, or product quality
- Assist in the development of purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings and efficiency
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in purchasing (experience in electrical wholesale is strongly preferred)
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Experience with ERP systems
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of electrical products is an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
