Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment for all students, including those with disabilities. As an Educator, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds and supporting their development through engaging and effective teaching practices.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Create a positive and nurturing classroom environment that encourages learning, exploration, and creativity.
- Provide individualized support to students, particularly those with working disabilities, ensuring they have equal access to educational opportunities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary to meet the varying needs of children.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to foster a supportive community around each child's education.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior, providing feedback to parents and guardians as needed.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
Skills
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Experience working with children, particularly in caregiving or educational settings.
- Ability to create inclusive lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for educating young children.
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities effectively.
- Knowledge of strategies for supporting students with disabilities is highly desirable.
Certificate and Licenses
- Early Childhood Education certificate in B.C.
Wages
- $22 plus $6 wage enhancement from government
