What we’re looking for:
· Completion of a university degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related discipline (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
· Cybersecurity training in incident response, threat detection, or security operations.
· Industry certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, CEH, or equivalent are preferred.
· Specialized training in SIEM, EDR, cloud security platforms, and next-generation firewall (NGFW) technologies is preferred.
· 5+ years of experience in Security Operations, Incident Response, or Cyber Defense roles.
· Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating technical responses to security incidents, including simulated security incident exercises.
· Strong practical experience in log analysis, threat detection, and threat investigation.
· Advanced knowledge of SIEM, EDR, XDR, SOAR, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management tools.
· Strong understanding of network protocols, endpoint security, and system hardening.
· Knowledge of Windows and Enterprise Linux security architecture.
· Knowledge of network security controls including Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), intrusion prevention, and network segmentation principles.
· Familiarity with cloud security principles.
How to Apply

To be eligible, individuals must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident and have lived in Canada for at least 5 years.
