Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Skilled Trades Instructors to join our educational team. This role involves delivering hands-on training and theoretical instruction in various skilled trades, helping students develop practical skills and industry knowledge. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in trades, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching. Duties
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to skill levels and industry standards
- Conduct classroom and practical training sessions in various skilled trades such as Plumbing, Gas fitting, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic.
- Assess student progress through evaluations and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain a safe and organized learning environment, adhering to safety protocols
- Collaborate with industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance and up-to-date practices
- Assist students with hands-on projects, troubleshooting, and skill development exercises
- Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques into instruction
- Support student recruitment efforts and participate in community outreach initiatives
Experience
- Proven classroom experience in teaching or training within a skilled trade environment
- Strong background in the trade you specialize in (min 10 years Journeyperson experience)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to diverse learners
- Prior experience with curriculum development is a plus
- Teaching certification or relevant credentials are desirable but not mandatory

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
