Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server/FOH (Front of House) team member to provide exceptional guest service in a lively restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a memorable dining experience. NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE is needed to work here, although it is preferred.
As we are also a catering company, working FOH means you will be required to work as a banquet server for some events. Our restaurant serves as the food vendor for Ramada Wyndham South, a hotel with multiple banquet halls for events.
Prior food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. Bartending training can also be offered for free to individuals with pro-serve certification.
Overall, this is a good entry level job where individuals can learn hospitality and serving skills.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring proper presentation and quality
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area, including table setup and sanitation practices
- Assist with food safety procedures and ensure proper food handling protocols are followed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple tables efficiently
- Provide guest services by addressing questions, special requests, or concerns professionally
- Support team members as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Requirements
- Pro-Serve certification.
- WHIMIS certification.
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is highly desirable but not required; training will be provided
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
