Eclipse Virtual Design is expanding our team and looking for a highly skilled Senior Piping Designer to lead the design and development of piping systems for industrial projects. This role involves close collaboration with engineers and field technicians to create accurate, functional, and high-quality designs. Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and review piping designs and layouts, ensuring accuracy and feasibility.
- Create and check isometric drawings, general arrangement and other standard package drawings.
- Work closely with engineers and field teams to optimize designs.
- Utilize 3D Pointclouds for steel and piping fit-ups.
- Manage projects from concept P&ID to detailed piping drawings.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and project specifications.
- Provide mentorship to junior designers.
- Ability to work weekends and evenings when required.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, CADWorx, Spoolfab, Navisworks or similar design software.
- Expert knowledge of piping codes, standards, and regulations.
- Experience working with 3D Pointclouds and integrating scan data into designs.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in piping design.
- Experience in the oil and gas, industrial, or EPCM sectors is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
