We are looking for an Applications Engineer to support customer projects from technical review through production coordination. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, customer communication, CAD modeling, manufacturing, and project execution.
The successful candidate will work directly with customers, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to review project specifications, layouts, floor plans, and 3D models while helping ensure projects move efficiently from concept to fabrication.
This position is ideal for someone with a practical engineering mindset who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and communicating directly with customers and internal teams.
What You'll Do

Participate in customer and project meetings to review technical specifications and project requirements

Review IFC drawings, floor plans, engineering packages, and project layouts

Act as a technical liaison between customers, project management, engineering, production, and CAD modeling teams

Support development and review of 3D models, tray layouts, assemblies, and installation concepts

Coordinate project details with the CAD Modeler to ensure models and drawings reflect customer requirements

Provide technical clarification and support during quoting, planning, manufacturing, and project execution

Forward detailed engineering and design-related questions to the Lead Engineer when required

Support internal departments with project-related technical information and issue resolution

Help maintain organized project documentation, revisions, and technical records

Assist with identifying practical manufacturing and installation solutions during project development

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field

3+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, construction, infrastructure, or engineered product environments preferred

Strong understanding of technical drawings, layouts, specifications, and engineering documentation

Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit, or similar CAD software
-
Ability to interpret customer drawings and technical specifications

Strong Microsoft Office skills

Experience working with ERP systems is considered an asset

Manufacturing or fabrication experience is considered a strong asset
Compensation: $38–$52 per hour, depending on experience
