Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with project teams to ensure successful project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, pricing strategies, and effective negotiation skills to secure competitive bids and support the company's growth. The Construction Estimator will play a vital role in project planning, budgeting, and ensuring profitability across various construction projects.
Duties
- Develop comprehensive construction cost estimates based on project plans, specifications, and client requirements.
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed proposals.
- Analyze project drawings and specifications to determine material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and scope of work.
- Assist in the preparation of bid packages and submit competitive proposals within deadlines.
- Review change orders and update estimates accordingly throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about current pricing trends for materials and labor.
- Support project management teams by providing accurate cost data for budgeting and scheduling purposes.
- Ensure all estimates comply with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a solid understanding of construction processes and terminology.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is highly preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing with vendors and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of project management principles to coordinate effectively with various teams.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost analysis and budgeting.
- Ability to interpret complex construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Construction experience is a plus, providing practical insight into field operations.
- Effective communication skills to present estimates clearly and collaborate with stakeholders.

Pay: $52,363.99-$70,000.00 per year
