SUMMARY
Lumenus Community Services seeks a qualified Junior Project Manager to Manage a range of projects beginning with client services-oriented initiatives. The PMO at Lumenus is responsible for all projects including but not limited to Information technology, human resources, facilities, communications and client services. The successful candidate should be adaptable and willing to manage any project themes. The position reports to the Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) and will be working closely with the Project Sponsors, Project Team Members, and Subject Matter Experts responsible for the successful implementation of all assigned projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with project sponsors, committees, and project teams to establish project governance, set project priorities, and develop Key Performance Indicators.
- Establish schedules, work plans, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Assume ownership of the Integrated Project Plan and other artifacts for assigned projects currently in progress.
- Establish and manage workflow to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Manage and resolve risks within a project utilizing the PMI risk management process (identify, assess, monitor and control).
- Measure project performance (schedule, budget, business performance, risk).
- Manage the relationship with all key project, internal, and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the efficient execution of projects.
- Maintain up to date risk logs, issue logs, change logs and decision logs.
- Identify “lessons learned” throughout all assigned projects for continuous improvement based on outcomes, feedback and best practices.
- Participate in project procurement process when required.
- Regularly report Project Status and performance to Manager, Project Management Office (PMO).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Project management education and designations is considered an asset (CAPM or PMP).
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience as a project management resource managing projects in government, healthcare or nonprofit environments.
- Previous experience in project management or coordination activities with complex and large-scale projects is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (i.e. PMBOK).

- Well-developed skills and experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Visio, Project and PowerPoint.
- Well-developed skills and experience with Office 365 products such as Teams, Tasks and Planner, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Experience with Project Management tools such as Smartsheet.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Satisfactory clearance under the Police Reference Check process.
- Ability to work occasional evenings.
- Flexibility to work in different locations as needed.
