MCG Careers, Inc. is seeking a Full-time Kitchen Help on behalf of our employer partner (in the ACTION – Workplace Training Program),. NOTE: You must be currently unemployed or under employed (less than 20 hours a week) and be willing to work with the ACTION team at MCG Careers prior to placement.
Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
· Prepare high-quality menu items following standard recipes.
· Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
· Maintain food safety and strict sanitation standards.
· Keep kitchen workstations clean and fully organized.
· Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment regularly.
· Restock food inventory, packaging materials, and line supplies.
· Monitor food temperatures and document required safety logs.
· Assist with opening and closing cleaning duties.
· Collaborate with front-counter teams for accurate order fulfillment.
· Handle safe food disposal and manage kitchen waste.
Required Qualifications
· Excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Friendly, positive, and professional attitude.
· Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
· Willingness to learn and follow established procedures.
· Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting (up to 25 lbs).
· Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred / Asset Experience
· Previous customer service or food service experience is considered an asset but is not required.
· Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
· Food Safe Certification is an asset (training will be provided if required).

· Must be unemployed at the time of intake.
· Ready, willing, and able to work full-time (up to 40 hours/week).
· Not a current student or enrolled in any program or school.
