Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Lead Dining Room Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest services in our Residence. Responsibilities
- Greet and seat residents in a friendly and professional manner
- Help support the day-to-day operations of the Dining room front of house
- Support the Dining room supervisor (DRS) with daily tasks as required
- Support the front of house operations in lieu of the DRS being on site or on shift
- Softly support with scheduling, ensuring that all shifts are filled for the day, this includes calling out for fill ins as required.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests as well as ensure that other Dietary staff area following the processes of the front of house at all times.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately to guests' tables
- Assist in food preparation as required and ensure dishes are presented wellMaintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and follow all ministry of health requirements.
- Provide recommendations on menu items and specials
- Address any guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Uphold high standards of customer service and hospitality
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred
- Hands-on experience with food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff
- Experience in kitchen operations including cleaning, sanitation, and maintaining a hygienic environment
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Familiarity with meal preparation for diverse dietary needs including special diets or restrictions
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- 1-2 years experience in Retirement is preferred
- Knowledge of food service procedures and etiquette
- Ability to multitask and demonstrate excellent time management
- Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment within the food industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
