Opportunity: Fleet Attendant (bussing)
Type: Permanent, Full Time
Schedule: 7 Days On – 7 Days Off – 12 hours/day
Job Location: Wood Buffalo Region
Reports to: Manager of Transportation
Opportunity Description:
- Responsible to ensure compliance with the company’s safety and maintenance program
- Ensure busses are fit for service by doing inspections twice per week (Checklist)
- Conduct minor maintenance / repairs on Busses as well as Light Vehicles on site, highway and yard e.g. replace bulbs, parts, fluids, tire pressure
- Ensure equipment Work order documentation is completed and filed in a timely manner
- Completes pre/post trip inspections if required
- Supervise Detailers to ensures buses are cleaned inside and outside per schedule
- Immediately reports mechanical defects and communicates with the Coordinator to facilitate repair, e.g. Field Mechanic, Fort McMurray shop.
- Shuttle busses for repair and undercarriage and body washes.
- Arrange for bus maintenance, washing, towing in coordination with the Coordinators
- Program information marquee
- Complete weekly Light Vehicle checks for Bussing (F-029,121,124,129) Checklist
- Complete / file weekly / daily reports eg. Inventory, LEM’s, shift cross notes, FLHA, Work order updates, yard bus maps
- Coordinate purchasing product / parts from established Vendors in town with Manager
- Respond to spills where required (site, highway & yard)\Maintain yard e.g. cut grass, empty garbage bins, shovel / sand walkways, replenish wash trailer products
Qualifications:
- Valid license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Previous minor mechanical experience
- Minimum grade 12 education
- Self-motivated, reliable, flexible and proactive with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to use electronics e.g. cellphone, laptop and various data programs
- Demonstrated history of safety excellence
