Duties:
- Support and assist with educational activities that promote children’s learning and development.
- Supervise children during play and daily routines to ensure safety and well-being.
- Encourage positive social interactions and support children’s emotional development.
- Assist with classroom organization, meals, rest time, and transitions.
- Communicate respectfully with staff and families when required.
- Follow all centre policies and maintain health, safety, and licensing standards.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and program policy
Skills:
- Time management: Ability to effectively plan and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines-
- Childcare: Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education-
- Leadership: Ability to guide and motivate children in a classroom setting- Organizational: Strong organizational skills to maintain a well-run classroom environment-
- Special education: Familiarity with special education strategies and accommodations for diverse learners-
- Experience with children: Previous experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting-
- Bilingual: Proficiency in multiple languages, especially French, is a plus-
- Classroom communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- ECA certificate (preferred)
- ECA (at least 2 Years experience working with children 0 to 6 years)
