Set to open in Ottawa this summer, Carletto is the latest restaurant from Gray Collection, bringing the elegance and warmth of Italy to Ottawa. Inspired by traditional Italian gatherings and the simple pleasure of good food, the restaurant blends authentic cuisine with a contemporary spirit. Featuring fresh pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and carefully selected ingredients, each dish celebrates sharing and generosity.
The Support Staff supports kitchen and service operations by delivering food and ensuring efficient communication between the kitchen and dining room. They help maintain service flow while ensuring quality, presentation, and cleanliness standards are met. The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
RESPONSABILITIES
- Coordinate communication between the kitchen and dining room during service
- Announce orders clearly to the Chef and kitchen team at the pass
- Ensure all dishes meet presentation and temperature standards before being served
- Verify plate accuracy and cleanliness prior to delivery
- Deliver food promptly and efficiently to the appropriate tables
- Support service flow by managing timing and pace for each table
- Maintain knowledge of menu items to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Assist servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Clear plates and maintain cleanliness in service areas when required
- Collaborate with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams
- Follow all established service, hygiene, and safety standards
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in a high-volume environment
- Strong ability to work under pressure and manage priorities
- Excellent communication skills in both English and French
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Experience in an Italian restaurant or similar upscale environment is an asset
- Flexible schedule with availability on evenings, weekends and holidays
- Valid work permit required
