Key Responsibilities:
Publish S1000D Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETPs) for both Civil and Defense & Security customers.
Create/modify data module (DM) content in the S1000D Common Source Database (CSDB)
Create/modify documents, templates and macros in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat
Conduct internal Peer Reviews
Troubleshoot, support and implement solutions to the tools and processes used for the authoring and publishing solution.
Provide innovative ideas and solutions to improve documentation and documentation processes including the use of AI
Minimum Qualifications:
High-level of computer proficiency with Windows-based applications, information and document management software (e.g., Arbortext Editor, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and SharePoint).
Knowledge to create/modify XML and HTML content.
Knowledge of content management systems, databases, and the basics of how websites are built.
Knowledge of AI tools and how they can improve processes.
Basic proficiency in design and graphics/presentation software (Adobe Illustrator, PTC IsoDraw and Microsoft PowerPoint).
Knowledge of the S1000D International Specification for Technical Publications, ATA and other aviation standards.
Ability to successfully manage multiple projects, solve problems, and consistently meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Superior attention to detail, the ability to follow set procedures, and a desire for accuracy in job performance.
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills.
Stay current with evolving technology and industry trends and tools related to technical publications/communications.
All successful applicants must be bilingual, oral and written, in French and English.
University degree or college diploma in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Familiarity with CAE products beneficial.
Preferred Qualifications:
1-3 years’ work experience in publishing PDFs and IETMs, creating HTML and/or XML content, using Microsoft Office products to create/modify content, templates, macros, and using various bitmap and vector software to create/modify images and illustrations
