From its full-service multi-studio facility, SJC Content works with leading brands and retailers to create content for every channel, including photography, video, social animation, interactive e-commerce content and digital signage. The Mar-Comm Project Manager drives the planning and execution of seasonal and other strategic marketing campaigns, leading collaboration on these projects both cross-functionally and with a network of vendor partner marketing agencies.
SJC is seeking a Senior Project Manager for an initial 3-5 month contract to lead complex, high-volume fashion and apparel eCommerce content production workflows. This role will coordinate intake, quoting, sample readiness, production scheduling, creative/studio handoffs, QA milestones, upload readiness, reporting, and escalations. The ideal candidate understands fast-paced retail production, can manage multiple stakeholders and suppliers, and is comfortable using workflow systems and dashboards to turn volume, blockers, and deadlines into clear action plans.
-
Own day-to-day project delivery across assigned apparel and eCommerce content workstreams from intake to final delivery/upload readiness.
-
Coordinate supplier/Walmart inputs, quote requirements, sample status, shot lists, production schedules, retouching, copy, QA, and final asset packaging.
-
Maintain clear project plans, workback schedules, status reporting, risk logs, escalation paths, and action owners by category, supplier, and mod-week deadline.
-
Partner with the Producer and studio leads to sequence work by category, setup, complexity, sample readiness, batch size, and capacity constraints.
-
Use workflow tools and dashboards to track SKU status, sample blockers, throughput, rework, SLA exposure, upload readiness, and launch risks.
-
Lead internal check-ins, supplier/client status updates, and issue-resolution meetings with concise and actionable communication.
-
Identify process improvements that reduce manual status chasing, production bottlenecks, avoidable rework, and upload exceptions.
-
5-8+ years of project management experience in retail production, eCommerce content, agency operations, fashion/apparel, studio production, or integrated marketing execution.
-
Strong understanding of high-volume production workflows, creative/studio dependencies, asset requirements, sample readiness, approvals, and delivery timelines.
-
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, stakeholders, suppliers, and deadlines with strong attention to detail.
-
Experience using project management or workflow tools such as Wrike, ClickUp, Monday.com, Workfront, Airtable, Smartsheet, or comparable systems.
-
Comfort with dashboards, reporting, KPI tracking, and communicating risks before they become delivery issues.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to escalate clearly and professionally.
-
Retail, Walmart, marketplace, apparel, creative production, or content enrichment experience is a strong asset.
-
Comfort managing AI-assisted workflows where automation supports intake parsing, SKU classification, shot planning, asset checks, reporting, and content completeness validation.
-
Ability to translate system outputs into practical project actions and escalation priorities.
-
Experience working with BI dashboards, production reporting, automated workflow triggers, or data-driven capacity planning is an asset.
-
Must be able to maintain human accountability for approvals, scope changes, supplier communication, timing, and final delivery quality.
-
Highly organized, calm under pressure, and able to bring structure to ambiguous or fast-moving production environments.
-
Comfortable working with creative, studio, technology, logistics, and client teams simultaneously.
-
Commercially aware; understands the impact of rework, missing inputs, rush requests, and scope changes on cost and delivery.
-
Practical problem-solver who can move work forward without overcomplicating the process.
-
Clear visibility into all active SKUs, samples, blockers, production stages, and delivery risks.
-
Improved on-time delivery, fewer last-minute escalations, and stronger supplier/client communication.
-
Reliable project governance and reporting that supports weekly status, monthly scorecards, and launch readiness.
-
Smooth coordination between PM, producer, creative, studio, retouching, content QA, and upload teams.
