Live-In Companion / Home Support Housing Included
Location: Prince George, BC
We are looking for a compassionate, dependable person to live with and provide companionship and light daily support for our mother.
She is an independent senior who requires some personal care support, including assistance with showering and occasional hands-on help with daily hygiene routines, in addition to companionship and general household support. The primary goal is to ensure she is not living alone and has someone nearby for safety, comfort, and peace of mind.
This opportunity would be ideal for a UNBC or CNC student, retiree, or mature individual looking for affordable living while making a meaningful difference in someone’s life.
Responsibilities
- Live in the home and provide companionship.
- Assist with personal care, including support with showering and hygiene routines.
- Ensure medications are taken as scheduled, including during the night
- Prepare simple, healthy meals.
- Light housekeeping and laundry.
- Occasional grocery shopping or errands.
- Notify family if there are any concerns or changes in condition or wellbeing.
Qualifications
- Caring, patient, trustworthy, and dependable.
- Comfortable providing light personal care assistance to an older adult.
- Strong communication skills.
- Valid driver’s licence is an asset.
- Criminal Record Check and references required.
