JOB DESCRIPTION – Architectural Coordinator
Position Objective:
You will play a key role in shaping how our communities come to life, from early-stage site planning and acquisitions through to construction execution and purchaser customization. Key Responsibilities:
- Play a pivotal role in bringing projects to life by reviewing brochure drawings, renderings, and working drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency, and a high standard of quality across all materials
- Prepare detailed base plans, siting, and grading plans for a range of residential developments, directly contributing to the successful execution of each community
- Provide strategic siting analysis to support land acquisitions, sales strategies, and construction planning - helping inform key business decisions
- Coordinate and review consultant design drawings to ensure they are fully construction-ready and compliant for permitting, maintaining excellence across all project stages
- Serve as a key resource for site teams by responding to inquiries and providing clear guidance on construction drawings and technical details
- Collaborate with the Decor team to incorporate purchaser upgrades and customization requests, preparing accurate and efficient revision (blackline) drawings for approval
- Partner closely with the Planning team on lotting plans and zoning by-law reviews, supporting efficient approvals and optimized site design
- Perform quantity take-offs to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives
- Proactively identify design or coordination issues early and contribute practical, solution-driven recommendations to keep projects on track
- Take ownership of deliverables and support cross-functional teams to ensure timelines, quality standards, and project objectives are consistently achieved
Position Requirements:
- College Diploma (or equivalent) in architecture, civil engineering, construction, or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in residential construction, architectural design, or civil/site development , ideally within a builder or developer environment
- Highly proficient in AutoCAD, with the ability to confidently interpret and produce technical drawings
- Comfortable working with tools such as Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Word to support documentation and coordination efforts
- Strong understanding of the Ontario Building Code (OBC) and Tarion guidelines, with the ability to apply them in a practical, real-world setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with internal teams, consultants, and site staff
- Thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment, while also taking ownership of your work and deadlines
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple lots, priorities, and deliverables simultaneously
- Proactive problem-solver, able to think critically and develop practical solutions to complex construction and design challenges
- Quick learner with a strong work ethic and a commitment to producing clean, accurate, and high-quality work
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of workplace health and safety practices, and consistently adhere to all applicable regulations and standards

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
