Warehouse Manager — Independent Beauty Brand (Small Business, Heritage Barn Location)
Location: Caledon, Ontario: A 100‑year‑old refurbished barn turned boutique operations hub
Summary You are the operational backbone of our independent beauty company. As Warehouse Manager, you oversee every aspect of inventory, fulfillment, logistics, digital systems, and space stewardship within our historic barn workspace. This role is hands‑on, autonomous, and suited for someone who thrives in a self‑directed environment where you truly own the entire warehouse function end‑to‑end.
Core Responsibilities
- Inventory Ownership — Maintain accurate stock levels across raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and promotional items.
- Digital Systems Management — Operate and optimize inventory software, shipping platforms, digital labeling tools, and workflow systems; ensure all data is accurate and up‑to‑date.
- Fulfillment & Shipping — Pick, pack, and ship all customer and wholesale orders with speed and precision.
- Receiving & Quality Checks — Receive inbound shipments, inspect goods, and document supplier issues.
- Space Management — Maintain an organized, efficient, and safe warehouse layout within a heritage building with unique structural considerations.
- Production Support — Assist with small‑batch product assembly, labeling, kitting, and seasonal packaging projects.
- Logistics Coordination — Schedule pickups, manage courier relationships, and troubleshoot delivery issues.
- Maintenance & Upkeep — Oversee cleanliness, minor repairs, and environmental controls in a century‑old barn setting.
- Compliance & Safety — Ensure safe storage of beauty‑related materials and maintain compliance with local regulations.
- Process Improvement — Identify inefficiencies and implement better systems, tools, and workflows.

Required Skills & Experience
- Warehouse or inventory experience in a small business or startup environment
- Strong digital literacy — comfort with inventory platforms, shipping software, spreadsheets, digital labeling tools, and basic troubleshooting
- Organizational skills and comfort managing multiple priorities independently
- Physical capability to lift boxes upto 30 1bs , move inventory, and work on your feet
- Attention to detail — accuracy is everything in fulfillment and stock management
- Problem‑solving mindset — ability to troubleshoot issues without needing a team around you
- Comfort working in a heritage building with temperature, layout, and storage quirks
