We are looking for an energetic and entrepreneurial General Manager to launch and grow a modern pickleball centre in Montreal's Sud-Ouest. This is a builder's role: you will take part in the centre's opening, its day-to-day operations, and its growth.

Your Mission
As General Manager, you will be responsible for all of the centre's operations and will be the face of the experience offered to our members. You will be a hands-on leader and a growth driver for our community.
What You Will Accomplish
Leadership and Management
- Oversee the centre's daily operations
- Ensure an exceptional customer experience on every visit
- Recruit, train, and motivate a high-performing team
- Implement efficient processes and maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment
Community Development
- Build a strong, inclusive, and engaged pickleball community
- Organize leagues, tournaments, clinics, and social events
- Create initiatives that drive member retention and satisfaction
- Establish lasting relationships with players, coaches, partners, and ambassadors
Lease and Subtenant Management
- Manage relationships with the centre's subtenants (complementary commercial spaces)
- Coordinate leasehold improvements and the fit-out of the spaces
- Ensure smooth coexistence of activities and proper upkeep of the premises
Growth and Partnerships
- Identify new growth opportunities and increase court occupancy
- Develop corporate partnerships and local sponsorships
- Collaborate with the shareholder responsible for marketing to fuel the centre's visibility (content ideas, events, on-site presence)
- Contribute to planning and achieving objectives, in coordination with the shareholders responsible for strategy and finance
Marketing and Visibility
- Manage and grow our social media presence
- Create and coordinate engaging content (photos, videos, testimonials, events)
- Develop innovative marketing strategies to raise the centre's profile
- Manage online reputation and customer reviews
Who We're Looking For
Above all, we are looking for someone with the energy, leadership, and ambition needed to grow a project.
- Experience managing a business, sports facility, club, events, or operations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong customer focus and entrepreneurial mindset
- Comfortable managing multiple projects at once; opening or start-up experience an asset
- French required; English a strong asset (bilingual clientele and partners)
- Knowledge of or strong interest in pickleball, sports, or the recreational sector
Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
