We are hiring a qualified seed analyst, who is fully or partially accredited in germination and purity testing. We are looking for a motivated individual who loves variety, communicates effectively and has strong organizational skills.
Qualifications:
- Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED
- Laboratory knowledge
- Previous knowledge in germination testing is a strong asset
- Agriculture background is an asset
- Disease plating
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to work well with others, and great communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Plating seeds for disease testing
- Prep and pouring agar
- Helping main seed laboratory with prepping and planting for germination and vigor testing.
- Be able to prioritize tasks during peak periods, and able to thrive in a fast paced, detail-oriented environment.
- Keeping large amounts of paperwork organized and filed
- Other related laboratory duties
