Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Social Issues Research Support Officer to assist in building a national research report, "The State of Down Syndrome Support in Canada." This summer job contract offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in contributing to a research project, and developing essential skills in data collection and project management. Your research for this project will include cataloging existing supports in each province and territory, identifying current gaps, and exploring potential opportunities to strengthen support systems for families, paid caregivers, and self-advocates.
This position is for a returning student or recent graduate. It is an excellent role for a student in social studies, health communication, disability studies, or community development. The ideal candidate would have experience in community-based research and data reporting.
