The Crossmount Group of Companies has an opening in their Head Office Team for a Senior Accountant based at Crossmount, five minutes south of Saskatoon. Or maybe you have a family member at Crossmount Village? As a key member of our finance team the Senior Accountant will support the CFO in meeting the organization's accounting needs.
What you will do:
- Responsible for full cycle accounting
- Collaborate with Operations team to ensure activities are accounted for correctly and financial risks are addressed.
- Perform timely month-end close procedures including posting journal entries and reconciling bank statements
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Accounting for and analysis of inventory transactions
- Filing of provincial & federal regulatory returns
- Reconciliation of account balances and financial statement analysis
What you need to be successful:
- Accounting diploma or degree
- 5+ years related experience
- Good understanding of general accounting practices and financial statements
- Experience working with computerized accounting systems
- Able to adapt to changing systems and processes
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail while working under tight deadlines
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Values team collaboration and cooperation
- Willingness to learn and commitment to continuous improvement
