Within Canada, Burckhardt Compression has a strong Services division in which we aim to provide one-stop reciprocating service for our customers. We are able to provide field service, repair and engineering/revamp services and spare parts for any brand of reciprocating compressor.
Burckhardt Compression (Canada) Inc. (BCCA) has an opening for a Field Service Representative (FSR), that will be directly reporting to the Field Service Manager, this position is based in Edmonton, AB.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
✅ Deliver exceptional customer service and technical expertise to ensure high customer satisfaction and positive service outcomes.
✅ Provide onsite and remote maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and technical support for reciprocating compressor systems across Canada and internationally.
✅ Promote a strong safety culture by adhering to company policies and supporting safe work practices at all times.
✅ Share industry best practices and technical knowledge to help customers optimize compressor performance, reliability, and efficiency.
✅ Lead and provide technical direction to customer personnel and third-party contractors to ensure successful and timely project completion.
✅ Prepare clear, accurate service reports and spare parts recommendations while identifying opportunities to support business growth.
✅ Build strong customer relationships and collaborate with global teams to deliver effective solutions and world-class service.
Qualifications & Experience
✅ Certificate of Apprenticeship as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) or equivalent.
✅ 5+ years of hands-on experience with reciprocating compressors and compressor components.
✅ Field service experience within the industrial gases, chemical, petrochemical, or petroleum industries.
✅ Knowledge of mechanical and/or chemical engineering principles.
✅ Strong computer skills, including proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
✅ Professional, customer-focused approach with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
✅ Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
✅ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative working relationships.
✅ Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
