Job Description:
As the Team Lead, Strategic Services, you play a critical leadership role in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and strategic use of police information systems at the Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service. This position is well suited to those with policing, court, or justice system experience.
You lead a specialized function that directly supports frontline policing, investigations, and community safety by ensuring that critical information is accurate, accessible, and trusted.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines advanced technical expertise, data quality oversight, and team coordination within a high-trust, high-integrity environment.
You provide governance and technical oversight for police information systems including PROS, CPIC, JOIN, CJIM, LIVESCAN, Axon/Evidence.com, and eCollision, ensuring compliance with provincial and national policing standards.
You oversee workflows, support and mentor administrative staff, and perform advanced system functions requiring accuracy, judgement, and discretion.
You step into leadership as Acting Manager, Strategic Services when required, ensuring continuity, stability, and direction.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day oversight and mentorship to Operational Support Clerks
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance within all police information systems
- Audit PROS files for UCR compliance and quality
- Maintain and audit CPIC queues; complete validation, purge, and warrant audits
- Perform LRA duties and administer Entrust tokens and secure credentials
- Implement system upgrades and configurations on TNPS terminals
- Liaise with partner policing agencies and Alberta Court Services
- Prepare statistical reports and mandatory submissions
- Support investigations with system expertise
- Provide administrative support as required
- Act as Manager during absences
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of RCMP CPIC Maintenance and PROS Records Management courses is preferred
- Knowledge of police information systems is required
- Experience supporting or mentoring administrative staff is an asset
