Role Summary
The Full-Time AM Server is responsible for delivering an exceptional breakfast and lunch experience, setting the tone for the guest’s day at Terrain. This role requires an early start at 6:00 AM, supporting the opening of the restaurant and the execution of a seamless morning service.
You will represent Terrain during breakfast and lunch service, ensuring every guest feels welcomed, cared for, and confidently guided through an elevated dining experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service & Experience
- Deliver elevated, attentive service throughout breakfast and lunch service periods
- Greet and engage guests warmly, creating a polished and welcoming morning experience
- Anticipate guest needs and respond with efficiency, care, and confidence
- Guide guests through menu offerings with strong product knowledge and genuine enthusiasm
- Ensure every guest interaction reflects Terrain’s standards of warmth, precision, and hospitality
Service Execution
- Support 6:00 AM opening procedures, including mise en place, dining room setup, and service readiness
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully prepared dining room for breakfast and lunch service
- Execute steps of service with consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Coordinate effectively with FOH and BOH teams to ensure smooth pacing and service flow
- Maintain station readiness and contribute to a calm, efficient service environment
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with FOH and BOH teams to ensure seamless communication throughout service
- Participate in daily pre-service briefings and communicate guest needs or special requests clearly
- Support team members during peak periods with a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and high-performing morning service culture
Product Knowledge & Standards
- Maintain strong understanding of menu items, seasonal ingredients, and beverage offerings
- Communicate menu details confidently and accurately to guests
- Uphold Terrain’s service standards through consistency and attention to detail
- Participate in ongoing training and development to support continuous improvement

Qualifications
- 1–3 years of serving experience (fine dining or upscale casual preferred)
- Ability to reliably work early mornings, including 6:00 AM start times
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm, composed presence in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
- Passion for hospitality and guest experience
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive, professional attitude
