Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and caring environment for dogs during their time at our facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where animal welfare and customer satisfaction are our top priorities.
Duties
- Supervise and interact with dogs to ensure their safety and well-being throughout the day
- Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent conflicts or injuries
- Assist with feeding, watering, and administering medication as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the play areas, kennels, and common spaces
- Assist with entering and exiting dogs
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets’ activities and health
- Observe and report any signs of illness or distress in the animals
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for both dogs and staff
Requirements
- Prior experience working with animals is required; a genuine love for dogs is essential
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely, including lifting crates or supplies up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods during shifts
- Reliable, responsible, and attentive to detail in caring for animals
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with enthusiasm and patience
- Flexibility to work weekends or holidays as needed is a plus
