Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Compensation: $45,500 - $54,600 annually, commensurate with experience

Position Summary
Stewart & Co. Law Group is seeking an Experienced Law Clerk to support a busy and growing legal practice. The successful candidate will work closely with lawyers, staff, clients, financial institutions, real estate professionals, and court offices, and other third parties to assist with the effective management of legal matters from intake through completion.
This position is well suited for a law clerk who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and confident working across multiple practice areas. The ideal candidate will bring sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a professional office environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Law Clerk’s responsibilities may include:
- Managing and assisting with residential real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, mortgages, and refinances.
- Preparing, reviewing, and organizing legal documents, correspondence, closing materials, reporting letters, and client communications.
- Supporting litigation matters, including file organization, preparation of pleadings and court documents, deadline tracking, and communications with clients and court offices.
- Assisting with wills and estates matters, including estate administration, probate applications, beneficiary communications, and related documentation.
- Supporting corporate matters, including incorporations, corporate resolutions, annual filings, minute book updates, and related corporate records.
- Communicating professionally and effectively with clients, lawyers, lenders, real estate agents, financial institutions, court staff, and other third parties.
- Maintaining accurate and organized physical and electronic files.
- Managing calendars, deadlines, follow-ups, and file progression.
- Assisting with the development and improvement of internal systems, precedents, checklists, and workflows.
- Providing general support to lawyers and team members as required.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a law clerk, legal assistant, or similar legal support role.
- Experience in one or more of the following practice areas: real estate, litigation, wills and estates, and corporate law.
- A Law Clerk diploma, Legal Assistant diploma, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong working knowledge of legal procedures, document preparation, file management, and client service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice software.
- Familiarity with conveyancing software, Teraview, Unity, FCT Portal, PC Law, Cosmolex, or similar platforms would be considered an asset.
- A professional, positive, and team-oriented approach.

Compensation and Growth
Compensation for this position is $45,000-$54,600, commensurate with experience, skill level, and ability to independently manage files and responsibilities.
Candidates with strong experience, independent file management skills, and the ability to contribute across multiple practice areas will be considered at the higher end of the range.
