About the Role
We're looking for a Controller to own the accuracy and reliability of our books, our cash-flow forecasting, and our financial reporting. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role — you'll be the person who makes sure the numbers are right, the forecast is trustworthy, and leadership always has a clear, current picture of where the business stands financially.
You'll oversee a small existing finance team (AR/AP and payroll/HR administration) and work closely with our outsourced accounting firm on tax filing and year-end. This role reports directly to the President.
What You'll Do
- Own the month-end close process, including reconciliations and general ledger accuracy
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date books in QuickBooks Online
- Build and maintain a rolling cash-flow forecast, delivered to leadership on a regular cadence
- Oversee AR and AP processes for accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee payroll accuracy (via ADP Workforce Now)
- Prepare financial KPI reporting for leadership
- Support budgeting and provide cost-control/variance reporting
- Manage and support two team members handling day-to-day AR/AP and payroll administration
- Serve as the go-to finance contact for other departments, and help improve how Finance works with the rest of the company
- Liaise with our outsourced accounting firm on tax filing and year-end preparation
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including month-end close and reconciliations
- Proven experience building and maintaining cash-flow forecasts
- Comfortable managing a small team and coordinating with outside accounting partners
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online (or similar) and payroll systems
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or project-based businesses is a plus
- Familiarity with EOS or similar operating frameworks is a plus
- Bilingual (French/English) preferred
- A collaborative, low-drama working style — you'll work closely with teams across the company and we're looking for someone who builds trust easily
Pay: $85,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
