Are you a CPA who enjoys improving systems just as much as working with financial reporting? We're looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role in modernizing finance processes, supporting an ERP transformation, and helping build more efficient, automated reporting solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys the intersection of accounting, technology, and process improvement. You'll work closely with finance and business teams to streamline reporting, automate manual processes, and support the transition from a legacy ERP system to Workday.
This is a contract starting immediately until the end of the year. Fully in office to start in the Kingsway area and then will transition to a hybrid model once onboarding is complete.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support the migration from a legacy ERP to Workday, including GL mapping and financial data validation.
- Integrate Excel-based budgeting templates into Workday using Office Connect.
- Build and enhance reporting solutions using Excel, Power Query, Power BI, and Power Automate.
- Automate reconciliations and other manual finance processes to improve efficiency.
- Prepare complex financial statements and support financial reporting requirements.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve reporting and business processes.
- Partner with finance teams to support budgeting, forecasting, consolidations, and system enhancements.
- Document financial processes and support continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.
- Participate in ERP and finance technology projects while providing subject matter expertise.
What We're Looking For
- CPA designation.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger structures, and accounting principles.
- Experience participating in ERP implementations or GL conversions, including mapping from one financial system to another.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience using Power Query, Power BI, and Power Automate.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Experience with Workday Financials.
- Insurance industry experience or exposure to IFRS 17.
- Experience with Office Connect or similar financial reporting tools.
