Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers or goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a clean driving record, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including children and seniors. The Driver will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of our transportation services while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of vehicles, including passenger vans, buses, or delivery trucks, in accordance with traffic laws and company policies
- Transport passengers or goods to designated locations efficiently and on schedule
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, especially children or seniors, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Maintain cleanliness and basic mechanical upkeep of the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations to prevent accidents or violations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, or team members regarding schedules or route changes
- Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, professional, and attentive to passenger needs
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs as required
Skills
- Experience working with children or seniors is highly desirable
- Bilingual abilities in Spanish and English are a plus for serving diverse communities
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to navigate using GPS or maps efficiently and plan optimal routes
- Good writing skills for completing reports or logs accurately
- Prior experience in commercial driving or teaching is advantageous but not required; training will be provided if necessary
