Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Grader Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, primarily graders, to prepare and maintain leases and roads. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy machinery, mechanical systems, and processes to ensure efficient and safe project completion. The position offers opportunities for career growth within the heavy equipment operation field and requires a dedicated professional with experience in various types of machinery.
Duties
- Operate grader machines to level and grade soil, gravel, and other materials according to project specifications.
- Assist with the operation of additional heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, and horizontal drilling machinery as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on grader and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute grading tasks efficiently, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment and perform basic repairs when necessary.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment throughout the project site.
Experience
- Proven experience operating graders in a construction or oilfield environment.
- Familiarity with other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and Caterpillar machinery is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and oilfield sites.
